Apply for a jobPalmira Barbecue’s name is an homage to Hector’s grandmother, who grew up on a sustainable cattle ranch. It all began with the idea to create wood fire barbecue only using local meats and serving carefully crafted sides to create a unique barbecue experience.
I picked up my son from school today, and we headed straight to Palmira BBQ! The Lowcountry has so many amazing barbecue spots, and this place is one of my favorites. With every bite that we took, you could taste the flavor and the love and time that was put into everything they serve.
This was my first time visiting and I must say the food was very delicious and flavorful. I had the ribs and smoked sausage which were tender and the hash rice and collard greens were very good and had a sweetness to it. The staff was very patient and friendly while I tried to decide what I wanted. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and I let him know how I enjoyed everything. I loved the interior because it was warm and inviting. Wish them much success!
I'm in AWE of this restaurant. I can't even find the words to explain how tasty, delicious, flavorful, and juicy this food was. Oh wait, I just did. This barbecue exceeded my expectations for what beef could even taste like. We are so pleased with the service, the atmosphere, funky music, and the finger licking meats...
Palmira BBQ is a MUST if you want to enjoy amazing BBQ matched with a great and inviting atmosphere. I myself am a BBQ connoisseur of sorts, and I've had BBQ all over the states. I was very excited when I heard Palmira opened up in CHS and was even more eager to try it once I read into the Owners backstory and BBQ journey...
The food was amazing. We got the Guava Burnt ends, the crispy pork belly, the barbacoa, a beef cheek sandwich, whole pork and two sides. Husband got the Mac and cheese, I got the mustard slaw. Great job! You are a lovely addition to Charleston. I just wish you'd opened on Johns island so I could eat there more often.
